Default Saturday 10th Drive

Looks like the weather is going to be great again this weekend. We could finish last weekends trip up to Canepa in Scotts Valley http://www.canepa.com/. Lunch or breakfast in Los Gatos or Scotts Valley, then over to Canepa.

I've got some stuff going on early in the morning, but would be up for an early lunch and a visit to Canepa. They're open until 3:00 pm, and couple of hours is more than enough to check out the showroom and the museum. A must see if you haven't checked out the new museum on the second floor.

Maybe lunch in Scotts Valley at 11:30 AM?

I haven't had a chance to work on the car, but if I can get it running before Saturday I would do lunch in Scotts Valley and a tour.

Not quite sure if I can go yet, but staying on the East side of the Santa Cruz mountains will increase my chances.

No, Doug, it has nothing to do with the "automatic shutoff", if I venture too far from home.

Funny. I'm only 15 minutes away from Scotts Valley, but never go there to eat...aside from stopping to pick up Chinese take out on the way home.

I know there's Bruno's BBQ which is supposed to be good. http://brunosbbq.com/.

Malone's is good, but they're not open for lunch on Saturday's.

I'll ping Dangerous Doug (or he might see this post) to see if he can recommend something good with easy parking.

BBQ sounds good to me. We could meet there at 11:30 am. Is anyone bringing their better half. Danette said she will go if any other's are.

For the people driving over the hill form the San Jose side, we can meet at the Starbucks at Bascom and 85 at 11:00 am.

Sounds good Scott.

We'll meet at Bruno's at 11:30 then.

245 H Mt. Hermon Rd
Scotts Valley, CA 95066

Turn left into the shoping center after the Taco Bell on Mt. Herman Road (4th light off of the freeway) then make a right. Bruno's will be on your left hand side.

Bruno's BBQ has good burgers, chicken, fries.

Parking shouldn't be too bad.

What time are you meeting for lunch? I'll try to connect.

I'm putting the Cobra up on jackstands this weekend to give it a once-over prior to taking it down for the CHP inspection. Also, my side pipes are a little crooked, and I realized the engine placement is causing this. I need to reset my engine to level out the side pipes (before I lower it). Also, my e-brake cable popped loose in the tunnel, so I need to fix that before I start tooling around in it. I'll be sans Cobra for the day, but I'll lunch with you and head to Canepa.

Let me know when you're meeting at Bruno's.

DD,

Great! The three major food groups are represented.

We were thinking about meeting for an early lunch at 11:30 (beat the crowd) so we have plenty of time at Canepa.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Default CSX2323 From Canepa Collection

We visited the Canepa museum after lunch and saw this 1 of 5 FIA car that was the most valuable car in his collection....valued by his employee at approx. $6million. He said is was worth more than the 917/10 that was also there, hard for me to believe. Thought I'd post the pics for all to enjoy.

Great seeing and talking with everyone at lunch today. Lucked out again with another full access tour of Canepa's facility...awesome collection of cars!

BTW - The burger that I ordered should have a warning from the Surgeon General.
