Accuweather is showing rain on Friday/Saturday. Yahoo isn't showing rain until Sunday. If the weather holds, I hope to join you.

I'm going to have to mis you guys again. My long story is that my car is back in the shop. When I had it smogged in December one side was dirtier than the other. I had know that since about Thanksgiving the car had not been running right so I had it looked at and the valves for the #5 cylinder were frozen. It appears that during some accleration I must have missed a gear and over reved the engine. After a lot of thinking about it I took the car over to Tom Lucas in Sacramento. Luckily the engine was fine just some broken parts. But he UT'd the block and found the thicknesses was too thin. Anyway a new block, with some engine improvemnts, (including a rev limiter) and as they say, just another two weeks.
See you all soon.

Best of luck, Dave. I have some empathy. My beast originally had a 390FE that was passed off as a 428. Lasted 4 months before it lost a wrist pin retainer which led to a gouged block, which had *thin* cylinder thickness. Long story later, my rebuilt Shelby motor is running great! I love Alice's, but vote this time for Baji's (which I also love) because I plan on partying hearty at a "cellar scraper" Friday evening and I'll need the extra sleep. Rich

That has a familiar ring to it. Sorry to hear about the engine. What block did you get for replacement?

No can do this weekend! Off to Sacramento for a soccer tournament.
Next weekend I will be going to Disneyland for the National Cheerleading competition with my other daughter..
I think we need to do a weeknight thing somewhere. My wife and I went for a drive last night, but I am still having a tough time pushing in the clutch pedal.

So what kinda clutch are you using, Scott? I went with kevlar after I converted to a 5-speed. Smooooth.
Hey, rodknock, it's only an 18% chance of precipitation on Saturday. I'm ready to dust off the beast! Rich

Rich - I'd prefer a 0% chance of rain. My trusty Accuweather let me down twice last year and I got rained on coming home on Hwy 17. Actually wasn't that bad when I was at freeway speed.
Scott - Did you hurt your leg?

No. My back, hip, neck!
It's a Ram plate. Other then that, I'm not sure. I should have wrote everything down when I pulled the motor.
I have checked to make sure I have the same size master cylinder and slave cylinder, and they are. I have tried Gregs, and his is a lot easier. Maybe it's the big block thing.
