Default North Bay Cobra April Monthly Meet

The April monthly meet of the BACC NBC chapter will be [edit Sunday, April 5th,] at 10:00am at the Wipeout Bar and Grill in Greenbrae. 302 Bon Air Center, Greenbrae
wipeoutbarandgrill.com‎

It is less than a 1/2 mile west of highway 101, just off Sir Francis Drake Blvd.

This location in Marin might be close enough for some of our southern neighbors to take a trip up and say hi. Weather looks to be very nice.

With any luck, Don will have his new 418 running. http://clubcobra.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95693

See you there.

Greenbrae is very South. Excellent. Did I miss the date somewhere?

This link might work better:

FYI, for those that may not be familiar with it, the Bon Air Shopping Center is a very busy parking lot with a Mollie Stones market, Noah's Bagels, Jamba Juice, Wells Fargo, etc.

Sorry, I assumed everyone could read my mind. Sunday,April 5th.

Our monthly meeting is the first Sunday of the month.

Hopefully, we will be able to block off some parking on a mid-morning Sunday. I've not been there, so thanks for the heads up.

Parking along the outer edge, inside the shopping center parking area, but along Sir Francis Drake might be the best location. That way the cars will be away from the most of the hustle and bustle, since most of the stores are on the opposite side.

Great Steve. Hope to see you and other BACC members. It would be fun to see all three groups join up.

19th Avenue through the City should be OK early in the morning, but that would depend if there are any big events in the City.

Rodney - Are you going to the NBC breakfast in Greenbrae?

Steve - I might join you. What time are you going to leave San Jose?

FYI for the East and South BACC chapters; NBC usually has 10-12 Cobras show up. Mostly with spouses, for a group of 20 or so people. We've been pretty dedicated so far. Most everyone showed up last month even with it being a rainy day (uh, without Cobras).

So, even though you don't see any traffic on this thread from the others in the group (Hello? Where are you NBCers?), you can expect to see a good crowd of folks show up.

Maybe we can chat about Tour de Vin or other events you are planning.

See you there.

Doug, yep I'm thinking hard about it. Greenbrae isn't too bad distance wise and the GG Bridge and Marin County is always a nice.

Sounds good Scott! I shot Steve an email tonight to coordinate a meeting time/place for the South Bay members.

Here is what I am thinking for our southbay Cobra flight group;

A> Arrive Starbucks Rancho Center Los Altos 8:15AM/8:30AM Sunday 04-05-09 (magdelena off 280)

"Los Altos Rancho Center , 654 Los Altos Rancho ,Los Altos, CA 94024", Large Lot ; centrally located for most southbay group with minimal backtracking. gas station in same parking lot.

Tasks; caffinate , BS, -then- wheels up 08:55AM.

>>>54mi to greenbrae listed as 1hr 5mins on google maps. (we can beat that by 10%+)

From Abouve mentioned Starbucks ;
Magdelena Ave -- Take the ramp onto I-280 N -- 33.9 mi
Slight left at CA-1/Junipero Serra Blvd (signs for 19th Ave/CA-1)
Continue to follow CA-1
Take the ramp onto US-101 N
Take the exit toward San Anselmo
Merge onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd
Turn left at Barry Way/Eliseo Dr
Continue to follow Barry Way
Turn right at Bon Air Shopping Center...Done. 54mi.

Steve

Default Hoping for nice turnout, new faces

Hi Paul et al, I thought it would be nice to have a comment here from another North Bay Cobra so here I am.
I do really hope to see some interest and turnout from the the South and East Bay contingents as we would be happy to see some new faces and to better connect with the BACC in general.
There have been 5 breakfast/lunch dates so far since inception of this BACC extension group and they have all been very well attended regardless of the weather. As Paul mentioned we usually have about 20 Cobra Club members at each event and it's a really fun group. I've been very happy and impressed by the strong interests and attendance of this group ever since Paul and I first got it rolling back in November.
This one should be even better as spring is upon us and the days are getting warmer and dryer.
Would really be nice to see some fellow BACC Cobras come up to visit us and take a drive to the headlands if the weather is nice, as it should be.
So get out your "dancin shoes" and come up to Marin to play with your North Bay Cobra guys and gals! This one is a great chance to join in since it's in Marin and closer to you East and South Bay members.
We'll see you there and have some food, fun, and good conversation.
Don
