Amazing! A must see. Over 150 armored vehicles, including something like 80 tanks!! It's almost overwhelming...information overload at times.

http://www.milvehtechfound.com/

I think the tours are limited to something like 25 people, which makes sense since there are a lot of questions and the tanks are packed into 4 buildings.

Btw - We had a great tour guide who kept talking until he had to pick up the next group at 1:00 pm. Also thanks to Jeff for coordinating the event.
(lifted from the post that Tim and I hijacked )

Here's a few more pictures of our cars.

WWII era tank that was still in use in Slovenia as late as 1988!

Picture of our great tour guide in front of a Panther tank under restoration.

tom, you are the man, the photos are great i am really happy with our day out. first time i tried something like this and you guys really made it the best. so i want to thank all who came. i have another idea in the works. it involves trains. i would definately recommend that tour to anyone who likes that stuff, mind boggling. it is still hard for me to grasp the fact that all that equipment is sitting on top of that mountain, up those roads. amazing. anyway........thanks you guys.

Looks like I have to visit this place someday. I keep hearing and seeing photos of the place but I really want to visit.

I guess this is one of the few times where the owners don't have to worry about anyone damaging the bodywork! More likely the person would have to worry about hurting themselves!

Great pictures. I believe I see one of the type of tanks they used when I was in Korea in one of the pictures but can't be sure. If I ever get back down there I am going to make it a point to go see them.

Was this the tank collection that was owned by Jacques Littlefield?

Yes. Jacques passed away in January of this year and left a trust to fund the foundation. Here's a link to the Foundation:

I believe the show Myth busters filmed an episode or two there and also used a few of their tanks.

Thats where I remember seeing the tanks and buildings. I think it was Tank Overhaul on the Military Channel.
