Default April 21st meet

Hi CVCC & NORCAL!!!! I wanted to get this out since this month has just flown by!! We were talking last month about meeting with the NorCal guys this month, so since this weather is just spectacular, beautiful and meant to be driving in, lets get everybody out there this month!!

Duane, you NorCal guys come on down and lets get a bunch together!! I would offer free beer but I dont think its a wise idea!!!! These are Cobras we;re driving!!!

Jim, Rick & John, you guys know the area better than I do. I know we just met in Modesto last month, but this is halfway for each of us, and you Modesto guys just happen to be in the center of it all!! We had talked about a group meet, so lets think of a good place to fit more Cobras than usual!! Altho I liked the place we met last month, food was good and lots of parking.

The FruitPlace was fine, any other ideas?? Or was it the Fruit Basket??

Cool...I thought it was a good place for a meet, do you guys want to meet there again? Lots of room to sit, park outside, all the important stuff. Jeff any more ideas on a place?

Hi Cindy,
Unfortunately, looks like i'm going to be be absent next month at your meet on the 21st. Wish I could be there. Have a good time you guys, and we'll see you shortly thereafter in May at some big people and Cobra gathering up the hill. DC

I plan on being there! I will be winging my way back from Japan on the 20th, so if all goes well, I will be at the meet.

I have invited my neighbor Dick Terrell, the driver of CSX3014 back in the 60's to attend the meeting if that is okay with everyone.

hi Vince
Hey I totally understand! Its looking like I wont be able to make it either. This is one crazy month, there just isnt enough time for everything.

CVCC members....would another Saturday work better for you guys?

Azariah2000 dont throw in the towl yet, we'll get a meet going. I hate April, usually right around the 15th.......

Modesto guys....jump in here! Jamo, Morgan, you guys have opinions on this???? (I know we all agree on the 15th ......)

Pick a Saturday that works for most, and we'll see who shows up.

Default CVCC meet April 21st, in Modesto, unless I hear from the Fresno contingent!!!

Most definately GT-40s are allowed and welcomed!

Pat, whats your opinion on the place to meet? Stick with Modesto? it seems the 3rd Saturday is a consistant one, and if I have to call in sick, I'll try to make it sound goooood.

This weather has been phenominal and there shouldnt be a Cobra in a garage anywhere in the state of California!!!!! except for this wednesday, possible showers.

And HUMMERS LIFTED, Harleys, the vehicles that are filling in til the Cobras are ready are OK too!!! Just because you guys dont have your cars ready doesent mean you can go for the drive after lunch!!!! Heck if my Cobra is in the shop, I'll bring a backup, and I'm going for the drive!!!!

800hp, whats the progress on the beautiful K car???? Hopefully good stuff!!!

Rick P, a nice cruise around the area? That one we took was great!

Hey Cindy,

Sounds like you are getting some NorCal folks that want to make the drive down. That's so cool. I really wish I could come down too now that the boss is back together and running better than ever. Saturday is up in the air and race on Sunday so it's hard for me to commit. I will let you know if my plans change but I'll try to make this happen. You never know.

Talk soon, John

Cindy

Seems to me we're all going to be seeing each other (CVCC and Norcal) in May at the Bash.

I'd like to see us firm up the CVCC a bit...going that far north cuts out South Valley folks (two hours from Fresno, way more for Exeter and Bakersfield). Last meeting was Modesto, we've had Fresno already...why not something a little more in between and see if we can get the two CVCC herds together?

I still like Castle...the Air Museum for lunch.

You asked.

Default Arrrrrrggg!!!!

Shucks looks like I'll be missing out on a nifty Cobra meet. I live about 5 minutes from Castle AFB and will have my West Coast Cobra delivered in pieces on the 14th at my home!!! Three weeks later my custom built 533 Ford BB is scheduled to arrive from Ford Performance Solutions in Anaheim. They have been a true pleasure to work with so far.

Sure do wanna cast my lamps on more of the already running Cobras out there....not to mention rub elbows with new friends who also are in love with the experience! Bah...I'm scheduled to be out of town that weekend in Santa Cruz Well I'll keep busy building but look for Saturdays when I can make it to another meeting if I can't get mine rescheduled. You know what I'll be doing with my nights and weekends for quite a while! If you'll be in the area and would like to stop by and offer lotsa free advice PM me.

I'll keep in touch with the forum

Dirk
