Default Grizzley Road??

Morgan,
where is Grizzley road? Did it used to have a number and they changed it to a name like everything else around here? It sounds great. Post some details on that ok?

Default Beasore Road

I was incorrectly referring Beasore Road as Grizzly Meadows Road. One runs into the other.

No, not at all. I was thinking we would drive up to the rest stop and turn around and head back down. Might be 30 miles round trip.

Whew! OK...cool.

We used it from the south to Mammoth one time as part of a rally (SCCA), and that's a fair piece all by itself.

we come in from the west side too, at Sky Ranch road and it is a dusty one on that one. That was still unpaved 2 summers ago, but thats a bit more bumpy. Theres a great fishing place up that way, the kids are into the fishing and fresh trout or whatever those little dudes are. Nothing better than fresh trout over a campfire that ya just caught!!

Default Time for meet at DamDiner?

Hey Morgan,

are you aiming for 11 at the diner, or 11 at the lake?

I was thinking about parking, and it would be nice to get an idea of how many might be coming to this one, as the Forks parking may not be as good as Duceys. Certainly the seating inside is probably better at Duceys, and its just down the hill from the Beasore road start.

I just went up there aways the other evening, and with the exception of 2 Chps boys sitting there on the 3rd corner up the hill, the road was great!! Nice road for a drive, altho I imagine better in daylight. It got pretty dark rather quickly!! Its an incredible view from up there further I know.

Do you think we should reserve any tables there at Duceys for lunch????

Heck Cindy, I thought you would know all of the CHP working up there by now....

Morgan, there is a nice driving road from Friant to Bass Lake, look at going through Prather, Auberry, onto Powerhouse Rd into North Fork, and then you can go to either side of Bass Lake, depending on which way you go out of North Fork. FASST did this run a couple months ago, a little over an hour driving time from the Dam Diner to Bass Lake, depending on how fast you drive!

Default Well since you mentioned it.....

Steve, Since you know the route so wel I was hoping you would lead. I can loan you a radar detector if you need it.

I was going to go from dam diner over broken bridge to the end of the road and make a right. G through North Fork and turn left on the road leading to Ducey's above the lake.

Hey SL!!
Yea, yea, yea.....just letting all my good friends know I found an old beat up VW bug that is now my daily driver. Its a thumpin, smoken, hot rodding 165 hp winner, bondo, ugly paint...... I feel the need to blend in up here!!

Your joining us for Saturday drive to lead the way up the back way, yes?? with my beautiful new jacket?????

Morgan, I dont know how many people are going to be showing up, how about making it for 15-20?? and wing it from there?? You probably have a better idea on the number of people so just call it and we'll make do.

Hello everyone! We are interested in joining the club! We are new to the Cobra world and are looking forward to meeting other cobra owners in the area. Do you guys have a club logo established yet? If not, I'd be happy to contribute. So in other words, we come bearing gifts lol!

Amber and Jose

Default Welcome Amber & Jose!

Hi and welcome! We're a very casual, loosely organized!! group of Cobra enthusiasts! We have been trying to meet the third Saturday of the month, changing the meeting spots each time to fit the area, whether its north valley or south valley. And of course a variety of drive options.

We will gladly accept gifts!! No logo yet, I am also wanting T shirts, but then I am a T shirt nut so thats just my thing. We will gladly welcome any ideas, opinions, etc etc so jump in and join the chaos!!!

There is no Chief, just many Indians, some more vocal than others!!

From my own view, the goal is to meet up with other Cobra owners and drive as much as possible, put on miles!! before the snow flies again!!
Oh....Morgan (redscx1) has a list (I think) of cell phone/contact numbers that you might PM to him yours so we can get ahold of you if necessary???

If you have any questions, post 'em, I guarantee they will be answered somehow!!!
