Clutch/Brake pedal assembly
I am changing my classic cobra from a automatic to a 5 speed. I was told that the brake/clutch pedal assembly was from a Mustang II. I was also told that the auto and the manual pedals are interchangable. SO..... I hunted a assembly down, got it home and the pedals are not even close to fitting on my bracket or can it even modify it. Does anyone have/or know what car CR used for the assembly???
Also looking for a CR assembly book...I think the one I have must be missing pages and or steps. Thanks again for the all the help. Jay

Jay,
No offense meant for "They", but I sure would like to find out who "They" is. The brake pedal for an automatic is totally different than for a manual. And, as you now know neither one of them even closely resembles a M-II. The pedals were an "In House" assembly.
If you can tell me what pages you are missing or what steps you need help on I'll try to help.
DV
Maybe someone here will have an extra clutch pedal for you?

If your going that rout then get a tilton brake and clutch set up, or are you going power brakes.make sure you mount your cylinders in a cool place away from exhaust.

they
DV,
"they" are the people that I purchased the car from. "they" where misformed on many things. Thank you again for your help and for the book i am using is in shreads....it came from "they" and difficult to read with the coffee and oil stains on it. Many pages taped together and some missing parts of the page. It would be great to find one in one piece.
P.S. cant wait to here how you come along with the custom dash.
I just noticed you are a MICHIGANDER, so am I.
Thanks again Jay

Jay,
I have no idea where Lake Orion is (?) but if we're close enough, stop in anytime! By the way send me your address "PM" and I'll mail you a manual!

Thanks DV, When I purchased my CRI kit I was shorted alot of parts, I was able to find a peddel assembly for an automatic trans from a local person who was builder rep. but the brake peddel does not seem to be correct, I was told I needed to shorten the distance between the top pivot point and the booster attachment point by 1 1/2 inches, I was told Im applying to much pressure. My brakes have been an onging issue with me. I thought this would be a good thread to see if anyone has peddel, or peddel assembly for sale, Or if I could ask a favor from someone if they could measure the distance on their brake peddel top to bottom, and top to booster attachment point.
Thank you in advance.
Mike
