Default 8.8 rearend disc brake question

I've installed 5 lug axles in my 86 Mustang 8.8 rearend and am using the disc brakes off of a 86 Mustang SVO 7.5 rearend, which was a 5 lug from Ford. Is there a caliper bracket off of another Ford or Lincoln that will work? The 7.5 bracket does not work. Do I need to make them? Any info welcomed. Thanks,Sunman.

Check into the \\ 1985 Full size lincoln town car rear, and the 1987-88 Ford thunderbird turbo coupe rear.

That should be the right ones.

Default Disc brake brackets

I found out the hard way that an 8.8 from a 94 mustang was wider than the Fox body 86-93 mustang. I read an article in a Ford magazine that told about a way to convert the 94 disc set up to work in the earlier mustangs. Richard Oben @Northracecars.com 816-436-1610 sells brackets and hardware to bolt the calipers right up.

Default 8.8 brake brackets

Give Richard Oben at Northracecars.com a call. His company makes brackets to convert one model 8.8 rear to anothers calipers. Phone no. is 1-816-436-1610. He got me the parts needed to convert a 94 mustang with disc brakes to the width of a fox body mustang. (86-93)

DonB

Thanks for the help. I'll call them on Monday. I haven't bought anything yet and I'll update when I finish caliper mount.

Merry Christmas and God Bless
