Would you be interested in an aftermarket cable?

Mark, Did you break yours? I have an extra one here that you can borrow until you can get another one.

If you have enough cable length you might do what I did. After I got mind adjusted I was worried about the jam nut and that little dome piece so I used some of the extra cable and untwisted about an inch of it that was sticking out and wrapped it back over the piece with the jam nut and taped it. Since it was out of sight no one could see it anyway. On the other end in case of need for future adjustments I just taped the piece that was past the jam nut.

Mark,
The domed piece of hardware that is on my extra one is nothing but a 1/2" long hex nut that is chamfered/radiused on one end.
