Traded for the car. As far as I can tell it is an early 90's car. It has a 351 Ford racing motor, 780 CFM Holly, custom hyd cam, hi flow water pump, griffin alum. radiator, electric fan, Holly fuel pump, Ford 9" rear with posi, 411 gears, winters aluminum center section, nascar floating axles with 4 wheel willwood disc. brakes.

With those 411's are you running a T-5/Auto?

Very, Very Nice, Congrats!

Do all CRs have the longer doors? is this for a longer wheelbase car?

It is interesting that in the 60s during the muscle car period, you could order performance packages or "drag pack" options that would get you 4.11 gears in a normal street car. The icing on the cake is that during this timeframe, there were no overdrives around either in automatic or stick shift. High gear (third or fourth) was a 1:1 ratio.

Fred,
Yes, CR's only had one model Cobra, 94" WB, most of the length was made up in the doors.

Thanks for the explanation; I had seen a Cobra replica at auction with doors like that but never knew which replica it might have been till now...

DV,
Yea I know. I just did not want to say that they splashed a CR body and then modified it to suit their needs. But Bill has said that himself so it should not bother me to say it. But it does a bit.

Terry,
Nothing wrong with that, Bill just made changes to fit his stye. The "Emerson" Cobra is a great car. He (Bill) still continues to amaze me!

But who am I to debate changes to a long standing leader of the industry?

4:11's with a T-5!? HOLD ON! - WE'RE OUTTA HERE!

DV,

What's wrong with 411's and a T-5? Besides the fact that it tacks out fast and will set you back in the seat when you stomp on the loud pedal. Yea, even with only a mere 350HP.

Yea, I get it. I need to change mine to at least 370's or even 355's. What do you think would be best?

Terry,
Wow hard choice for an answer through e-mail. The original "DV" had em all but it also had a T-6 for the tranny. I finally gave up drag racing and before raffling it off for my last DV Spring Fling we had 3.73's in it. They really worked nice. I guess I would still go 3:55's, or 3.73's with a T-5. (355 HP or more)

I was heading more toward the 370 range myself. I guess I really need to check transmission gear ratio and tire size then figure it out from there. I just know the 411's don't get it for me. Maybe years ago, but not now.

Thanks DV.
