Hi, Looking for front and rear quickjacks for my classic roadster ltd.
Bought a set from Shell vally and the holes are to close.
Thanks

Take a piece of copper or flatten out a piece of copper pipe and clamp it on the back side of the jack. Make sure the hole is cleaned up and then weld up the holes. The copper on one side will mostly keep the weld from sticking and will make the weld pretty flat on the bottom side. Grind the weld flat and smooth with a flap wheel. Measure and drill the holes where you want.

Quickjacks
Thanks but I have chrome ones and plan on sending them back. I'll try to see if shellvally can get me a set unchromed with no holes in them. Or try to find someone to build me a set.

Piperj3,
I have a set of steel ones that I fabricated. I made a few sets. Some of steel and some of polished stainless. You can look in my photos for a blueprint that I posted or you can search for MASNAKA and he has a set of the polished stainless ones.
These are made to fit a CR. I only have the one set left and I do not plan on making anymore. Anyone can copy the blueprint and have them made or I will sell my last set for $50.00 + shipping.
Let me know if you are interested.
Here is the set of polished ones on Masnakas CR
Here is some on the front of mine

Thanks Terry,
They still shine like brand new and I am still very happy with them.

By the 4th or 5th time you take some skin off of your shins whenever you walk around the car you'll wonder why you wanted them in the first place!

piperj3 - Give me a call. Our stock quick jacks are different than the CR quick jacks but I also have quick jacks that fit the CR's. I've got the overriders for the CR's as well.

Terry's pieces are quite nice and a bargain IMHO. Very robust and excellent quality. I had my steel pieces powder coated black.
