Thanks, but Finish Line don't have the size I need. 3/4 OD is the largest they carry.

I think most use 3/4" bolts to attach the bumpers, the finished look comes from "sleeves" that slip over the bolts and would not need to go into the grommets, only against them.
Cheers!

Try these. You have to buy 25, but they're only $14.

Dugly,
The "sleeves" on a CR runs all the way from the bumperettes/quickjacks to the frame. They need to be larger for the CR.

You might want to check with DV. He might have a bunch laying around in a bag somewhere. Or at least he could give you a part number and manufacture/supplier where he gets them.

Hope DoubleVenom checks in and can help. I think they need to be oval. I'm not sure how to contact him.

I think DV only comes to CC every couple of days or so. Hang in there.

Ya, having to drive a few miles at 3:30 AM to get Wi-Fi is a pain in the arse.
Yellar; you have to use regular grommets, about an 1"-1'/4 for the front and 1" for the rears. You cut the grommets down the middle leaving you two O" rings from each grommet. Then VERY carefully use "Crazy glue" that has been made to actually glue to rubber! The front grommets will stretch to fit the angle of the front tubes.
On the rear I don't use any glue. This way you can pull the rubber- grommets away from the body when you want to wax the car, then push them back.
I get them from Kimball-Midwest, Col's, Oh. Mc Master Carr should have them too.
Sorry I used my last four, but if you have any trouble contacting Kimball I'll get you there phone and salesman on next visit!

Guys,
I used the tubes and grommets from finish line on two classic roadsters. It was a very easy modification, the threaded rod is 1/2" diameter, the sleeve material fits right over the rods, and you make the holes in the body to fit the grommets from finish line. Piece of Duff, mate!

NO disparment intended but FINISHLINES Grommets are for a FFR NOT a CR! CR's bumber tubes are almost if not more than TWICE the size of FFR.
If you get tagged or worse you 'tag' someone else I would think you would want all the bumper you could get!
Finally found Kimball-Midwest card:
Michael McPhilimy, 1-800-214-9440 X 2018
If he has trouble finding them (The right size) ask him to pull my files (Ed Combs) they should have a record of orders. Remember I order two sizes, one bigger than the other!

DV,
Did you still have to split the front ones or will the ones you suggested conform without splitting in half ? Thanks for your help. It will be Mon. before I can check back in. yeller53
