Cool

Mickmate, the header pieces your web site shows IS/ARE the same Headers used by CR. BUT, I hope everyone that got a top, these were automatically attached.

The Ferrules that you link to DO NOT WORK for a CR! Geez, whats a guy gotta do?

OK..... I've taken my "Happy Pills. (Seriously)

Let me tell everyone how to make all those other Ferrules work in a CR Cobra.
Order six or more because you're going to have mistakes.

Now cut the tops off of the shafts of the ferrules where the shaft meets the "ring".
Now stick the shafts into the pre drilled holes in the doors and the rear quarters...BUT leave approximately a full 1/4" sticking out of the holes.

Hopefully you are not working with a painted car. (Your on your own!)

Now grind or file the top of the barrel off to match the ANGLE THAT CR'S DRILLED the holes into the body. (All six holes are drilled at an angle proprietary to CR's top bows. (The angle was put in that way so CR's tops fit tighter than most Cobras. (Starting to see the problem?)

Now that you have filed/ground the tubes to match/fit the body contours figure out how to now re-attach the "rings" you cut off from the ferrules originally!

NOW you have custom made Ferrules that will fit a CR's.

OR you can fill all the holes and re-drill them straight so any body's ferrules will work!
But of course the bows wont fit/work now!

You are all saved from my lectures. I am now done on the Ferrule questions on CR's

Most Cobras I've seen and worked on have 3 door ferrules for the side curtains. The back two usually line up pretty good with the door top. The front one usually is crooked to the door. Your choice is line them up straight to each other so you can still slip the side curtain in or line them up to the door so they look good but won't let a side curtain slide in. If the car isn't painted some body work to split the difference will help.
