Default Mickey Thompson sr sportsman tires for the front

Has anyone used these tires and if so did you buy the 8" or 10"

I run a 235 now (thank you Yokohama for stopping production on them...) which is a 9.6" tire.

The guy at Discount looked at my Classic and was afraid the 10" might rub on the fender

I hate to step down in width but the rub would be worse.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

I had the 10 x 26 SR's on the front of my SPF and they were fine.

Thanks Ted,
How do you like the performance of the tires so far?

Mike,

I no longer have the SR's on my car, but not because I didn't like them. I had the 12 x 28's on the rear and was not able to get the ride height down to where I wanted it and the only other option with the SR's was to go with the 12 x 26 which was a little shorter than I wanted. There are several guys on this forum that use the 10 x26 in front and the 12 x 26 in the rear and seem to be quite pleased with them.

I now have the MT ST's on my car (255/60 front and 295/50 rear) which are working out fine, but I can tell you that they do not have the traction that the SR's had.

Cobra Make, Engine: Classic 427, I purchased it May 2005, the kit was bought in 1991. I'm not sure when it was completed! Installed GMPP Connect & Cruise 376/525 with T-56 S/M 3.55 gears about 2 years ago! 1/4 miles is with old setup!

I love my SR's on my Superformance.
I have 26X10 in the front and 28X12 in the rear.
Great looking tires and grips very very well except in the water.

I had 8 on the front and 10 on the rear. I should have gone wider on both. The tires gripped real good. I thought the side walls were not as stiff as I would have liked. I had them on 15" wheels.

I have the 26-10 in front and 26-12 in the rear on a factory five. Never a problem with wheel rub. I am set at 4 inchs. Plenty of traction. The fronts look newer than the rear !
