New style motor months for ANY CR
These are the new poly months that work great in ANY CR. ACTUALLY THE PART # IS FOR ENGINE & TRANNY MONTS.
"JEGS. "ENS-4-1124 -GX" (a correct # for mounts incl' trans. Mount)
PS. Don't forget these still have to be mounted in reverse, "left to right", AND . Right to left ! IF NOT SWAPPED YOUR ENGINE WILL SET TO FAR BACK.

I'm not sure I'm following you? The steel parts should be with your frame package - AKA : Phase 1 package. (???)

I have the old style bracket that uses the Mustang II engine mount.
I would like to switch to one that uses the later mount, you have any of those mounts by any chance?

Buddy, that's what I'm saying, minor mods to Jegs Mounts OR CR frame mounts if any and the new ones fit right in.

Hi DV,
My car is tucked away and I can not get at it for several weeks. I would like to purchase the parts and have them ready. The build was a 1995 vintage with a
a 460 and a Richmond 5 speed. I remember the frame mount was a CR part. It was a long angle bracket with a box section welded to it that bolted to the frame. I had to add put a piece of tubing inside the box section because without it when you tightened the main motor mount bolt the box section would crush. Are the motor mounts you listed adapt to this setup? Thanks so muc

I tried looking them up on Jegs and the closest I got to a numbers match was
355-4-1124-R for $173.99. Is this the set you were referring to?

Since this conversation has starting, I have been pondering what would it take to adapt the Mustang II based brackets to accept a later mustang motor mount (ensuring that the spacing remained correct).
Who has done this and if you did, would you be willing to post a picture?
This will be something I will be looking into doing before I mount the body permanently as I have a feeling that my Mustang II engine mounts may be a little soft from age. When I first fired the engine up this fall, the engine rocked a little bit more than I expected (this was with alternating engine RPM but no real load.)

Couple things, first off you HAVE TO be a fabricator!
Get a pair of the motor mounts you want to use, bolt them to the block, (Bare block is best if you have one) then set the block, with the new mounts in place. Drop the motor in "place" making sure its centered and level, I prefer a tranny bolted to the engine at this stage. Set the entire package down using the CR's frame mounts as a guide, pick the motor up to the proper level. You can tell this by mounting/or just checking side pipes clearances. I usually (temporarily) mount the headers and side pipes. By using the side pipes to adjust the position it's easy to have the motor in right and in line. I then put "jacks" under the pipes to hold everything in place. Now use the equilivant of 3/16' s flat 4" steel plates making them to bolt on the bottom to the CR MOTOR FRAME mounts. On the top engineer them to fit your new motor mounts.
About one days good work & you should be ready to go
SAFETY FEATURE: On ALL my BB's, Stroker motors and ESPECIALLY any DOUBLE VENOM cars built, I would use VINYL COVERED CABLE hooked to the top of the (LEFT!) motor mount & then to the frame. Leave a little play in the cable allowing the engine mounts to flex as they were designed. You can use TWO small cable crimps or TWO cable clamps to attach the cable together!
NO MORE WORRIES ABOUT A MOTOR MOUNT BREAKIG LOOSE! ��

Maybe the original author or moderator could fix the spelling error in the title: "months" -> "mounts". Search will never find this otherwise.
