Thumbs up About to order brakes! How exciting

Ok, so front brakes are Pinto spindles, custom caliper mounts, 11” pinto rotors, and big bore single pot GM calipers.
Never driven the car, not sure how it stops. But it still has rear drums(I’ll ask about converting that in a future post), and 30 year old fronts- so I’m gonna order some new ones. Wilwood has some nice Mii front brake kits.

My question to those of you that have done this before is this;

How much of a difference, in the track width in the front of the car, is there between pinto rotors and Mii rotors. I think 74proii was saying 1”- is that total(0.5” per side). I think someone else said 1/4” per side.
There are different options from Wilwood to change the offset. Currently my wheels stick out too far so tucking them in a bit would be great!

Hopefully everyone is staying warm inside!
Cheers
Michael

Pinto and Mustang II rotors are the same. Originals are 9" 4 lug, after market are 5 lug. You are referring to the 11" Ford Granada rotors.

The online pics do not go into the detail as in store. it's easy to see that way overall height of a Granada rotor is 4.15" (105.41 mm), MII is 3.93" (99.82 mm) according to specs. So yes !/4" per side, 1/2" smaller track width. i must have left out the 1/4". Most time my mind works way faster than my typing skills.

You can contact Wilwood and talk to a tech. I found them to be very helpful when I did mine. I purchased through Summit.

Granada!!! That’s what I meant. I re-read it 3 times and knew that didn’t make sense. Thank you.
Awesome! You guys are so helpful. Seriously, thank you. I was looking online but not finding much.

Ok, so if I find a stock offset Mii kit, then I’ll be 1/2” narrower. That might be enough to tuck the wheels back in for me. They stick out just a hair too much.

The one I saw was 0.55” offset. Not sure if that is per side or total though. I emailed Wilwood- probably hear back tomorrow. If that is total, I’ll be back to where I am now with the Granada rotors? 1/2” inwards swapping Granada to Mii, then a 0.55” offset- I think that makes sense. So I should look for one with no offset I guess.

Wilwood mentioned these were the ones with no offset... not bad!

Brake kit, 4x speed bleeders, 14” braided brake lines, brake fluid... anything else? Maybe replace the spindles?
