Trunk latch for CR1

I need a trunk latch for a CR1.

The way the CR trunk lid is formed with the license plate mount molded to the trunk, it cannot accept the "T" handle. Normally there is a slide latch that mounts just inside of the trunk and has some type of finger it catches on. It is operated by a cable.

The manual does not clearly show this tab and I cannot figure out what I need to supply.

I have the slider release but cannot find the tab.

Can anyone supply me with a photo of how it looks?

My trunk latch mechanism is reversed with a lever underneath the trunk behind the body to open the latch.

Same with mine, just a lever under the body (Center of car) and I used a (fake) t-handle to lift from. no cable.

Me three. A hidden lever under the body, no handle. I lift from the bottom of the license plate. Press down to latch from the trunk lid at the license plate light, not from the light but the flat spot in the fiberglass.
