Brake rotor backing plates
Fine tuning and deglitching. Driving in the rain. The driver stays dry, the engine stays dry, but the brakes get wet. I have to ride them a little to dry them out to make sure the car will stop. Fronts are MII with Grenada 11" rotors. Rears are 10" rotors on 8.8 solid axle. Pretty sure these are the stock brakes from '87 - '89 T-bird Turbo coupe. No backing plates on front or rear. Somehow, I figured there had to be a reason all factory cars have them. So what is the school solution for backing plates so the rotors don't get splashed when it's raining?
