Wind Wings
DV OR DON OR ANYBODY - - - HELP.
CAPTAIN CLUTZ HERE MANAGED TO BREAK BOTH WIND WINGS ON THE EXCALIBUR COBRA IN A MATTER OF ABOUT THREE WEEKS.
DON'T ASK - - IT'S ABOUT A FOUR BEER STORY.
AT ANY RATE - I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND REPLACEMENTS THAT WILL FIT.
THE HOLE SPACING ON MINE IS: 8 1/16" BETWEEN HOLES - VERTICALLY AND 1/4" AND 1" SETBACK FROM THE EDGE FOR THE DOUBLE HOLES.
EVERY SUPPLIER THAT I CALLED SAID THAT THE HOLE SPACING IS 9". WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE "ORIGINAL" STANDARD SPACING.
WILL THE CLASSIC ROADSTERS WIND WINGS FIT THE EXCALIBUR ?? WHAT IS THE C/R HOLE SPACING ?
IF THEY WILL FIT - WHERE CAN I GET A PAIR AND HOW MUCH ARE THEY ??
THANKS VERY MUCH FOR THE HELP. AND Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,
BLACKJACK

Jack,
Not to panic! Send me all the pieces to your old wind wings and I'll get them made up for you asap!

Re windwings
Jack,
I had the same trouble with mine and they were from Cobra Restorers. I took one of them down to the local glass shop and they made me a set out of Lexan 6 years ago and I have never had a problem since. I even took the sunvisors down and had them made of the Lexan too and I have had no problems since. I just looked at the old bill and it cost me $37 dollars in 1996 for both wind wings and both sun visors. I am sure they would cost more now but the Lexan will stand up to almost anything.

DV...Don...anybody....Boy does this sound familar!!
Guy's......don't tell me that there is a differance with the holes for the windwings and visors.....I need some beer. Had my brother make me a set of each.....man hope he didn't drill them yet!
I've got an English style windsheild, also a CR Cobra...haven't found a good price for the hardware yet...once I convert my Canadain money.....everything seems to be in the Millions.....sucks big time! For the windwings and visors are there different ones I would need for the english style windsheild?
Thanks Guy's
