Default Some help with a neutral safety switch

I just got my Lokar tailmount shifter today and it slipped in smoothly and looks great. My question now is about the neutral safety switch. My C-6 does not have any connectors for wiring the switch up. The Lokar has a neutral safety switch has two connectors at the side base. Don, DV or anyone else, what am I missing to hook the puppy up? How is this switch wired up? I have come to love this car but hate the s.o.b. who jacked it all up so now I'm paying the price. BUT- I can almost smell exhaust fumes!!! Thanks, Chuck

There is a 4 wire connector that comes off the engine side of the wiring at the firewall. Wires 121 and 126 are for the neutral safety. Wire those 2 wires to the Lokar switch. The other 2 wires in the connector are for the backup lights.

don, thanks for getting me started. i have a painless wiring setup, i'll call painless and find out which wires get hooked up. the tailmount shifter looks like a pretty nifty setup and sliped right on with no problems. the 10" shaft seems to be the correct height. chuck

I forgot you have a painless harness. The Lokar shifter is a nice piece. Let me know how far above the floor the 10" shifter sits.
Thanks

don,
the tailmount bolts up on the top bolts of the tailshaft. lokar said measure 3" from those bolts. it gives you about 7" above the transmission tunnel which looks pretty near a stock shifter.

Don,
Where do you get your shifter boot and emergency brake handle cover?

Art, I get them through Bethania garage. Talk to Tom and tell him it's for a Classic Cobra. Phone # 336-922-3018
