Default Master Cylinder question

My buddiy is stripping out a 1984 1/2 Mustang.....
Will his Brake booster and Master Cylinder work with the Classic Roadster pedal assembly?

It may work but I've never tried it. I just had the salvage yard pull one for me so I'll check it out and see if it fits. I'll let you know.

Probably a good question that needs to be mocked up to see if it will fit, and work. A lot of MII stuff is getting harder, and harder to find, and a lot of late Mustang ('79 - up) fits with little or no modification. Late steering rack is a good example.

This is conjecture, but it would seem that IF the power booster fits, it would work. The OEM master cylinder would probably work with an 11" rotor front disk, and OEM drum brake rear. If converting to disks, you'll need the corresponding master cylinder that matches the rear disks used. Mine were '87 - '89 T-bird Turbo Coupe from the SVO rear disk brake conversion kit M-2300-C. Others are using Explorer rear disks, so you'd need the Explorer master cylinder.

I tried the pedal set from a newer Mustang GT with the old Mustang II booster and the bolt pattern is different. It looks like the pedal set on the Cobra would need to be modified to fit the newer style booster. Shouldn't be a big deal though, just redrilling. I don't have a newer booster here so I don't know about the rod to the pedal yet. I'll keep working on it.
