Post Hood and Deck lid Gas shocks?

Hey Guy's! What lenght? and what gas shocks to use for the hood and deck lid. Do they work good? Any ideas would sure help...Is there a manufacturing car company that would have the exact type needed?
Thanks.
Snake.

Default mighty lift

i just did this install. lots of different lifts and option.s the front is probably the most straight forward. i will lookup my part numbers and let you know. first you may want to decide how you will use the rear trunk space. i did the rear from across the lid. the shock could have been a little stronger but once your half way it will hold it up buy not take it out of your hand. the front one is just perfect it lifts once you are about 1/4 of the way up. only drawback is you need an 90 degree drill and very short drill bit to put the stud and tap the front crossmemer to install stud. i just measure my distance and then went down to autozone. here are the 2 part numbers. model number 95263 and 95273 let me know and i will email you some pics. Mike

Give Bob Kallio a call (402)654-2772. He has a kit for both the hood and deck lid. I have them on my MidStates and they work
great! Bruce

Smile mkcobra

Hey Mike! Yes...! I like to see some pictures of your hood and deck set up. The part numbers probably wont help me out...you see I live in Canada. How much did the gas shocks cost you? When there compressed what is the lenght, and when there extended what is the lenght?
Thanks.

Thumbs up Bruce Bresky

Hey There Bruce! Do you know if they'd fit the Classic Roadster Cobra. I'm sure there probably all the same...but as I found out with other items...there not the same.
Thanks.
Snake/Gerry.

well i will remeasure for you on each. but really just the extended lenght is the only big deal. since you dont want it pushing up to hard on anything and depending on how you mount it will help decide on how long it will be . mine are all kinda of tall but works well and installation was very easy just drill a couple of holes to put bolts thru.
