I think that was the White GT 40 I was following last weekend at the Austin Hillcountry Run. I couldn't muster 167 but I did get up to 135 on the "Air Out Section" of the run. I knew it was time to slow down when I looked over at my wife and she was flour white and looking for a fraidie bar. She never said a word until we slowed down and she told me that the wind had pulled the wrapper off my Hershey Almonds bar. Darn I could have gotten a ticket for littering.

Art,

I need a pickup like yours. I knew everything was faster in the Northeast but I had no idea it was that much faster. I have a whole new appreciation for the phrase "In a New York Minute".

All that speed and dodging pot holes too! Go to my gallery to see
ryme ice build up after 167 mph run. I guess I'll have to add air plane deicing boots to leading edge of the hood!

Clois, does this bring back any memories?

Sorry if we scared the wife. She was a good sport for letting us boys and our toys indulge ourselves. I wasn't looking at the speedo during that "air out"--it's way over on the other side of the dash--but it sure was fun.

Hope it was part of the incentive for ya'll to come back next year--and hope it doesn't KEEP your wife from wanting to return.

I went to Minneapolis this morning and heard a great old song by Roger Miller. Maybe that one will stick in my head now so the OOmpa Loompa will go away.

Trailers for sale or rent....rooms to let 50 cents....no food no phone no pets.....I ain't got no cigarettes.......8 hours of pushing brooms....

Maybe if we keep these old songs coming we can all clear our heads and forget about Gary.....probably not but what the hey, it's worth a try.

Pray for me, I have a meeting with Gary on Monday. You guys want me to tell him anything? No swearing please!

Don

Hey Art, I said no swearing! I guess it's hard to say Gary and not swear. I am bringing back whatever parts are available and ship them. I'm sure there will be something for you there. This makes me feel like Santa!

Lowell, That was a great song to! I just heard it the other day. We have a great oldies station in my area. Keep em coming, OOmpa LOOmpa is fading fast.
