Question novice advice

Here'e my situation:

I am getting ready to purchase a CR cobra from an older gentleman who became ill and will not be able to start or complete the cobra after he has already bought all the parts. The fiberglass body has been sititng out in the weather for about 6 years. Do you know if I should be concerned that the weather may have somehow affected the body?

Also regarding titling the cobra once I complete it, is there a specific peice of documentation I should get from the gentleman as part of the purchase?

I've always been excited about the Cobra and my recent internet searches are giving me a high fever. I was glad to see there is a local club. I live in Topeka.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give.

ksdave,
If the body has been sitting "level", then there should be no problem with it at all. Give it a once over for any delamination or bubbeling of the glass, but I seriously doubt you will find any.

Paper work? The most important question of all! Make sure he has a MSO. Certificate of Manufacturer statement of origin. Looks like a car title and will be issued by Classic Roadsters.

Thats it. Keep us posted.
