Question Door

Any idea where I can obtain the right and left inside door openers? As I said in my first message, I just got the car and as I go though it (trying to finish it) some things are missing, ie., door openers. Thanks in advance for you input. Will post some pics as soon as I can.

Donald,

Try:
Finish Line at cobraaccessories.com
Cobra Restorers Ltd at cobrarestoreres.com
Europa at cobraspares.com

You will find that parts such as these aren't always maker specific.

I look forward to you project up-dates and the pics.

-John

Don,
Just what "door openers" are you referring to? The Finish Line door latches, are not made to work with a CR's.

Explain what you need and I will make sure they are sent.

DV...the problems are going away!

DV-

My bad. I did not notice I was in the CR forum when I responded to Don. I meant no disrespect or misinformation.

Fox!
Man..no sweat fella! I just couldn't figure out if he needed the "mechanicals", the strikers, or the bear claw latches themselves!

Don has since sent me an e-mail describing what he needs. May take a few days, be we'll get him on the right track!

DV...no problem that can't be fixed with a bigger hammer!

The door openers, and hood opener are modified bicycle handbrake levers and cables. A little mickey mouse, but they work.

Somebody has developed a better way of opening doors on a CR.

Default door openers

Go to Bethania Garage Inc. I installed these on my CR.Positive action and no stretched cables. Look in my picture gallery for diagram which shows installation and how they work

Thanks for all the suggestions. I finally found the openers but decided to install electric openers. They work just fine.
