Blue Ridge Parkway. I'm sure of that. Its too far for us to go anywhere else Jack. I'm guessing near Asheville.

Mr Haynie is closest!!

At the top of Mt. Mitchell...6578 feet above sea level!! Highest peak east of the Rockies......BTW, it was 58* at 9:00 AM and the leaves were a bit less colorful than usual!!

Below 3000 feet and down the Blue Ridge Parkway...South of Asheville, NC the colors were much better.

All in all....300 miles in the Cobra on a BEAUTIFUL Fall day ain't too bad!!

Didn't see another Cobra all day??

I believe Harny Peak in the Black hills which by my reckoning is east of the Rockies is a tad higher.. Somewhere near 8000 feet.

Jack,

I forgot to mention. I was on my dock Labor day and you drove right past me on your boat. I was fishing and yelled, but I don't think you could hear me over the engines. Anyway, maybe next time. My dock is a couple up from the old Oyster Factory site.
