Default T56 Wiring

HI DON OR ED
MY T56 TRANSMISSION HAS NO NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH.
CAN I USE WIRES #121 & #126 FOR MY VSS ( VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR ) ON MY TRANS, IF I CUT THE WIRES #121 & #126 BETWEEN THE FUSE BOX AND THE TERMINAL BLOCK FOR THE STERING COLUMN? THEN WIRE #121 & #126 FROM THE STERING COLUMN TO A CLUTCH PEDAL SAFETY SWITCH AND #121 & #126 FROM THE FUSE BOX TO MY SPEEDOMETER?
THANKS BOSS MIKE

Mike, 121 and 126 are wired throughout the harness. You can use 121 and 126 to a clutch switch. 121 also runs to the starter solenoid which is how the neutral safety is used. You would need to trace and open up the harness to separate the 2 functions you need. I would think it would be much easier to just add 2 wires for the VSS.
