Classic 427 for sale in Los Angeles
I was at a used car lot today about two miles from my house when I spoted a car that looked exactly like mine. I stopped in and talked with the owner. It's a royal blue with white CR 427 with a 428, top loader and chrome exhaust. It's a beauty! He wants $29,000 for it, but I'm sure he could be talked down a bit.
Seems to me that I read here someone was looking for one in the LA area.... here it is! |
FxBill,
Did you happen to ask how the car is registered? That is a good price if the car is in good condition. Ron :) |
The car is indeed gorgeous... I'll check later today on the registration...

Any more updates on this one? I've been looking in SoCal. Do you have a phone number or contact info on the dealership for me. If so email to superchargedjeep@yahoo.com please.
|
The phone number of the lot is (818) 771-0215 and it's called Best Quality Used Cars, Inc.
Sorry I haven't had a chance to go back, but I'm sure they can fill you in if you call them. I can, however, vouch for it's cleanliness....it's a honey! |
If you live in CA you might want to check and see if it is politically
correct (SB 100) or you might be able to get it real cheap and get in line January 2006. good to know up front I would think. |
Here is the link to the car:
[url=http://www.bestqualityusedcars.com/inventory.phtml?CarId=30742&from=20] Happy Hunting! Doug PS - I hope it's already registered. The last thing I need is someone else trying to dial Sacramento on Jan. 2nd!!!;) |
Wow....Never knew they had a website....It's just a little local lot down the street from me. The car belongs to the owner of the lot..

Check out the title before you do anything. If it's registered as a 1965 it probably came from titles unlimited. That VIN # is not one of ours. We issue a 17 digit VIN #. If it is titled as a 1965 don't let the dealer tell you he can get it registered because he can't. We just had someone else on this site go through the same thing and he returned the car to the dealer. The car is for sale but it states it can't be sold in CA. Check with motor vehicle before anything else. Bring them a copy of the title and tell them it's a replica.

DOUBLE DITTO to what Don said!! I'd hate to see anyone have to go through the AGONY of loosing their cobra like I did!! I also checked this dealer's website and as soon as I saw the "Registered as a 1965 Roadster" comment, the RED FLAG immediately went up. Super NICE CAR, BUT I DOUBT that it is SB100 registered and LEGAL in California (prime candidate for having its title revoked by the Republic of Kalifornia). IMO. THANKS, Don!!!

fxbill,
God bless the internet - I just typed in bestqualityusedcars (didn't even do a search). Sometimes you get lucky. Seems a little mysterious the way they have it listed... I would definitely recommend going heavy on the research for anyone who is interested in it! Doug |
