Default Seat Belt Help

I'm looking to install a 4 point harness in my Cobra and would like some help on where to mount the belts. I understand there is a peice of 3" angle iron to be welded or bolted in, but where do I put it, and how long of a peice do I need? Does anyone have a picture of this on their car that I could look at? Also where would I bolt in the lap belts on the car. I'm looking at being able to mount the body within the next week and would like to get any welding done on the chassis before then.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Give me a call and I will explain where to put the angle and mount the belts. It's easier to tell you than write it. 1-888-722-6272. By the way all our new frames have the mounting points installed.

Default Me too!

Mr. Toad - any chance you could upload those pictures to your gallery? I'd like to see them as well. I'm hoping this is something that can be done to an already-built car.

Thanks,

JLW

Default Restraint systems

Dpmtrspts, Why would you want 4 point harness? They are very dangerous. With impact you slide under the belts and all the force drives into your stomach. Please read up on this to make the right choice. Take a look at www.simpsonraceproducts.com go to Restraint systems thenclick on Safety Information. All the info you need is there. They don't sell 4 points systems for a reason.
I had 4 point belts when I bought my car, looked good beacuse it was like origional equipment. After going for a ride in a well equiped car at a open track event that had 5 point I knew I was giong to change mine out ASAP. They REALY hold you in so tight you feel like one with the car.
