Pricing a Cobra
I am contemplating the sale of my Classic Roadsters Cobra. It came from the original company. As an aside, I got mine just as the company was going down. I flew to Fargo, rented a UHaul Truck and drove to the office. "Here is a check for the final payment. You will get it when the car is on this truck". They sent me to the "warehouse". There were about 20 bodies setting outside in the snow. I pointed to one and said "that is mine. Put it on the truck". They did, along with the chassis, interior, and other basic parts. I gave them my check, and drove back to New Jersey. They were " gone" about a month later.
Anyway, to the point. I now live in California. I had to "import" my car from NJ to Calif. The registration reads "1966 Cobra" . There is nothing about "Ford", "Replica", "Kit", etc., on the registration. Do you folks think that can have a positive effect on my pricing the car, or is it unimportant? I would like your opinions on this matter.
Thank you

Hi
Hi John,
Yes, the same. I am surprised that you remember me. Thank you.
I cannot tell you how much I miss those outtings.
While I built my Cobra in isolation, I now realize that a great portion of the enjoyment of using my Cobra is the socializing. Here in Modesto, I have yet to find such commraderie (spelling, sorry). The only group of cars I have found is my cousins Chevy club. Needless to say, I am a fish out of water.
Anyway, enough boring talk. Hope you have a great new year.

RHarms,
I am in Manteca and am trying to finish up on my CR Cobra. It was origionally built by CR LTD in the early 90's. I bought from the origional purchaser completly torn apart, almost as in kit form. I just received my 351W from CRII last week. Hopefully when I get it together we can go on some runs. I am trying to have it together by at least late April for the Fun in The Sun Kit car show at Knott's Berry Farm. I would like to have it ready before then. Mabey we can get together and we can see each others car and mabey get some ideas. There is also a NorCal Cobra Club thru Club Cobra. Seems mostly based around Sacramento.
Have a good new year.
