Default Found this on e-bay.

Found this on e-bay. Isn't this just a Classic Roadster?

With a date coded side oiler and the terrific induction system I wouldn't say it's 'just' another Classic Roadster, it's special for sure. Beyond that, good job of 'hype' for the marketing.

So Ford bought a kit from CR and assembled it themselves with only the body and frame from CR. You would think that they would have picked a more origional configuration to build a Cobra off of. This seems to be a very nice compliment for CR. I have to agree with you Excaliber, it is not "just" another Classic Roadster. Makes me feel good to own one. Mine will never be that nice but after 10 years mine will have a lot more that 262 miles on it.

Right, Ford bought a kit from C.R., uh huh, I believe that and pigs fly! There is, I would guess, some kind of connection to Ford Motor Company, hard to say what.

Pictures show 2 different steering wheels. One wood type moto-lita and one with ugly black padded wheel. How many Cobras are built with tilt steering wheel?

That pig must have an awful large wingspan.

Mine has the same column as the black one. Tilt and all from a Chevette. So why would Ford do that

I do have fond memories of my Excalibur, a Classic Roadster clone if you would. The extra room is primarily what I miss, I used to put my coffee between the edge of the drivers seat and the center console. Now I have to use an old tennis shoe with the toe tucked under the leading edge of the seat and the 'heel' for a cup holder.

What he is saying about the car is correct. He added the numbers, chrome hood and trunk release and wood wheel. The black steering wheel is a Momo and the column is not from a Chevette. The car was on the MSO until he acquired it. The Body was acquired in 1990. It was last shown at the Auburn labor day classic car show last year. I guess pigs fly... High-Tide
