What's up with CRII? This could be bad...
OK... first let me say that I didn't want to highjack MaSnaka thread on coil overs...
New coil overs causing problems... - Club Cobra
Second... This is not about bashing CRII or Don...
I think some of us have some real concerns of late about the fate of CRII. There have been countless voice messages left, posts to this thread and CRII own forum that have gone un-answered by Don or anyone else representing CRII. I think if we keep any info gained here, maybe we can get to the bottom of this problem.
Let's hope for the best...

Don's last post here was 12/01 just last month. I'm not sure the relevance but it is North Dakota in the middle of winter. A good time of year for a safari. Maybe it's a little early to panic but keep a watchful eye. In the past I never had any trouble getting through on the phone.

I too have had problems getting through, I did talk to Don's son and two people left CR maybe its just busy ? a call to those involved would quell fears though.

Well with his last reply that Pete has left, no one seems to have heard from Don. I know its cold, but business is business...
Even if I was curled up in front of a fire riding the storm out (thanks REO speedwagon), that would be a great time to return calls or posts to their site or here.
just me 2 cents

I never delt with CR before Don bought it but from what I have heard Don has done wonders with the company. I hope everything works out for him no matter which way it goes. Hopefully he keeps it going and this is just a minor bump in the road.

I'm taking it that no one has heard from Don or any one representing CRII?
I guess I need to start seeing what parts I can source from somewhere else.
I posted this on CRII forum today, but just like my numerous calls. I'm think it will fall on deaf ears...
*** Don,
You should have the decency to explain your actions, more like your
non-actions of late. I have left several messages with NO calls back
from CRII. I am owed parts from both my phase 1 and 2 purchases that
were backordered at the time I paid you. Also I paid $1000 for a
custom roll-bar that has not been delivered. When I was first in the
market for a kit, I saw a post a club cobra where you and another
person were going back and forth about you status as a reparable
business person. When I questioned you on this, you blamed the other
party and said I had nothing to worry about with giving you my
business.
Your actions of late completely go against your words at the time.
Please do the right thing and let your customers know what's going on!
My next course of action would have to be a legal one. ***

I saw that post when it first hit. That was almost a month ago and I have yet to hear from anyone.

As someone who highly values effective and timely communication, I completely understand your frustration and concern. I know Don is a good man and hope that what ever is going on is worked out soon.

I am going to break my attorneys protocol and respond. I am by myself at this point and overwhelmed. My son is helping out but we are behind. My attorney has told me to stop all communication to anyone at this point. I know it sounds stupid but I'll give a brief explanation of what's going on.
The former owner of Classic is trying to take over the business based on a transfer of my contract to him. The transfer was for payment due him from another contract. My contract clearly states that it is non-transferable. I have spent 10's of thousands of dollars to fight this. There are several others issues pertaining to this also.
This in no way effects your orders or parts due to any of you. All it is doing is adding time to the process.
Based on this I had no option except to stop communication with everyone. I can't go into why at this point.
We are not closing, we are not filing bankruptcy, we will start answering the phones soon. We will ship your orders, we will ship your backorders.
I wish this could have been handled another way but it couldn't.
All I ask is that everyone be patient. This will be over very soon.

all the best Don. I can't imagine the trouble you are having to deal with. The prior owner, screwed me so badly, and you made up for it. I will never forget that.

Thanks Don!!!
Having 2 lawyers on my wifes side of the family I can understand this...
I think what all of us needed was exactly what you just did. Give us something to let us know we are not left out high and dry. Hang in there and good luck. Hopefully we'll be hearing more from you in the near future.
Again...Thanks for dropping the cone of silence.

Support for Don
Don,
Sorry to hear you are under stress. I'll join the list of people leaving positive feedback for you. You guys haven't always been perfect, and have sometimes been slow to respond, but you've always been honest and always followed through for me. Hey, I'm not perfect myself.
Hang in there.

Don...nothing to do with me really, as I don't have one of your (rumored to be GREAT) Cobras, but as an entrepreneur businessman lo these many years, I completely empathize with your plight and understand the 'guidance' provided by your attorneys.
Good luck to you.
Most people in this world NEVER get to run their own company, or even attempt to 'live the dream'. You have done both, and my best wishes to you sir!
