Default C.R. Roadblock #498

Installing soft top. The header nuts have an O.D. of .190" and the slot in the top of the windshield frame is .160". Aside from beating them in to the slot, anyone have any idea as to how to get them in place?

Thanks in advance.

Buzz,
Don't beat em unless you want a couple of dozen small windshields. Why a large batch came out/ordered this way beats me! Hold them with a a set of vice-grips and run the edges on a grinder. Granted shouldn't have to do that but it's one way of getting them to fit without a hammer.

Thanks DV.

By the way, do they still hold weekly summer concerts at the park down town?

Ten or Fifteen years ago we vacationed regularly in Pentwater, probably 8 or 10 years in a row. A friend had relatives in the area. We would rent for 2 weeks and enjoy the small town atmosphere, the beach, etc.

I'm a boater now, if fuel wasn't so high, I would make the trip from Cheboygan for a visit.

Thanks again for the help.

Buzz, We live on the north side of Pentwater, in the woods-stop in any time, always looking for someone to Cpt. the boat!
