Default What radiator and fan/shroud combo...

I need suggestions for a radiator and a fan/shroud kit for my CRII.

All recommendations much appreciated!!!

Don Scott built my CR I with a 351/W. He used a Griffin radiator and a Spal 16" electric fan

Thanks! I know Don used Griffin's. The problem I guess I really have is what model/part number. Or if someone can give me the dimensions, that would help me out also.

When do you need it? I may have a custom unit, built off the dimensions of the griffin, made by Evans. It is 100% aluminum. The expoxy used on the Griffins lets go after some time. This radiator keeps the engine (475hp) cool on the road coase in Las Vegas summers.

I just recently got one from griffin size was 26x19 with a 3in core Call griffin and talk to Benji he helped me with fan shroud wiring relays the whole works it wasn't cheap though $915.00 total with freight and everthing Lokks great tel him where you want inlet and outlet

Ed,

I have an old Griffin laying in the garage. Let me know if you still need the dimensions. I am keeping the custom Evans unit I told you about earlier. Sorry, I genuinely thought I was not going to need it. $915 is high for an epoxied piece. the Evans is 100% tig welded aluminum and cost only $700. I got to desing in some custom touches too. I am sure they still have the drawings. For a fan I use the Black Magic. Keeps the car cool in Las Vegas on the track in summer time.

Ed,

I don't have a qualified suggestion on the radiator because my SPF is different than your CRII. But I do have a suggestion on a fan for you that should bring a smile to your wallet and a controlled temperature to your engine.

The 94 to 98 Lincoln MarkVIII had a electric fan that pulls more air than any aftermarket fan you can buy. It has two speeds and moves 5000 cfm on high and I believe 3800 cfm on low. The fan can be bought out of a junkyard for $30 or so. I believe the 94-96 cars had only a 3800 cfm unit and Lincoln upgraded them to the 5000 cfm units in 97 and 98. Be sure to use robust wiring and relays to feed it because it can pull north of 50 amps when it grunts.
