Default Body Cutouts

After months of trying to find the body cutout locations, I spent the day Friday at Double Venom's place. He marked the locations for the cutouts for me. What a weight off my mind. While there I also learned quite a few tips that are going to help me with my build. By the way, DV, my seats do have headrests. I won't decide which way I'm going with the seats until I'm much further into my build. Thanks again DV, I was at a real loss without the cutout locations.
While I was there I met Capteddie. Thanks again Capteddie for the part for my Cobra.

Mine are totally uncut. I'd love some feedback. Wiper holes are there, and two for the soft top in the rear body. After looking at Alfa02's I can't help but wonder how those tiny slits will do for defrosting.

Get rid of the slits!!!! They are crap!

I straightened these out with a jig and a 1/8" router bit when I originally build the car back in 1990. They didn't function worth a #%$@!

Now that I'm completely redoing the car, I'm glassing these over and installing two of the chrome defroster trims (one on each side of the dash area) that you can obtain from Finish Line.

Also, test fit your windshield and lower windshield gasket. The wiper holes on my car were drilled by CR at the factory and the passenger side wiper hole was actually a little too close to windshield that the lower windshield gasket partially covered the wiper trim. It always bugged me that the two wiper trims weren't equal spacing from the bottom of the windshield. I'm fixing that when I redo the body work by moving the pass side hole about 1/4" forward, filling the elongated portion of the hole with Fiberglass mat and resin.

If you are a detail person, the positioning of the wiper holes will bug you if they are not equal from the lower windshield gasket.
