Ed,
Everything is OK- But one important question? Mechanical fuel pump or electric? If it's electric I'll need it and weld a plate to the rear frame member. Makes for a very neat set up.
Might need some more fittings but I can get them here if electrical.

I'm setup for a mechanical pump. Should work OK. If you need more of the black AN fittings to run the fuel line, let me know and I'll get the from Summit. I know we are going to need some of those for the trans cooler and the remote oil lines.

DV,
Fuzzy or not, that is awesome. I can't begin to tell you how I'm feeling. After going through the whole CRII legal/shutting down issue, seeing this thing finally taking shape is nothing short of pure joy and I haven't even driven the thing.

And to help this day keep rolling along...
When I got home. The American Racing wheels I ordered from Bob at Vintage Wheels were waiting at the front door. Bob had to special order these from AR due to the backspacing and it took around 3 months for AR to get them shipped to Bob. Once Bob got his hands on them he had the front centers and the entire back of the wheels powder coated black.
And man do the look good!!! Many thanks to Bob for going the extra mile and having them coated instead of just painted. If I put some black lug nuts on these, you would have a hard time telling they where not real spinners.
See below...

DV,
Anything show up from Terry over at GLR yet? I don't want to hassle him, if I don't have to.
Cheers,
Ed

DV,
Do you have any more info on the status of Classic Roadsters, you said they are moving on and improving but I still get no answer when I call there. Is there a new phone number? Or any other way to contact the new owners? Thanks!!

Snakeracer,
Sorry your first post had to be about this.
First there is "no" new owner, second nothing has changed at Don's business. He still has been forced to cut all communications and shipping of all parts.
However: I wish this news was better but it is all there is, hopefully there will be a new owner who is trying to put together a massive financing package to get this company back on its feet. Right now "we" are all waiting and hoping for a positive! If I can possibly help you, maybe finding you a source for your parts, how to install, build, etc., please let me know. You are in good company!

DV,
What are we going to do for a roll bar? Can you get your guy to do a custom 4 point? Or would it be easier just to go with a standard drivers side bar? And if so, where could I get one from?
Let me know if there is anything else I can get you before the body comes over on the 7th of June.
I'm going to call my street rod guy on Tuesday to get an update on the rear lower arms.
Cheers,
Ed

capteddie,
Wetdog is borrowing my drivers side roll bar and going to have one fabricated. If you want one let Wetdog or myself know. Maybe you both can get a cost reduction from the tubing shop. Wetdog probably will not know the exact cost until he gets my rollbar to the tubing shop for them to look at.
What are you doing for rear lower arms. Are you making adjustable ones?

Thanks Terry,
DV was going to see if a guy he knows can fab up a 4 point roll bar. But if that doesn't work out, I would go with a standard drivers side only bar. So let me know what you guys come up with and maybe we'll go that route.
Yes. I'm having adjustable lower arms fab'ed up by a local hot rod shop. I'd be more than happy to post pictures and measurements as soon as they are done.

DV, you were right the bezels supplied (finish line) are sloppy for a 1 3/4 bar .Iam going to go to 2.00 it will look better and the bezels also come in 2" as well . I am also making up some brackets to attach the bar in a much stronger way , slip fit into a larger tube with some bolts going through . Tomarrow I will know cost for bending this up and if I use stainless no rust and no paint or coating costs .
