After teasing cpteddied about his additional 'parts', that awesome, functional (no less) aluminum over flow "radiator" cap now hits! No sweat a little more "MODS" and we'll be fine

Hey DV!

What are the sizes of the rubber grommets you need for the bumper tubes? I'll see if I can source them for somewhere. The tubes should be back from the chromers this weekend, so I'll pick them up when I get back from "jolly ole" England next week.

Cheers!

OK. Putting the call out to all the CRII owners/builders out there. Did any of you not get the rubber grommets that go around the bumperette/quickjack tubes? And if so.... Where did you source them from?

Thanks much!!!

Ooops, I screwed up for the first time ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

The INSIDE dimensions are 1' and 1-1/4" respectfully! Ed these are double type grommets that normally go through a firwall type assembly-where as one 'flange' of the gommet will fit on one side of the wall and ther other edge is forced through to the hole to the back side, holding the entire grommett in place.

OK. Good news, bad news...

I ordered the grommets we need for the bumper bars. Bad news. One of them only comes in a package of 10 and the other in a pack of 25 I think you have some extras. That said... One pack was like 10 bucks for 25 and the other was like 8 bucks for 10.

No big deal. They are being shipped to you. Now if only I can get the bars back from the chromers. Don't think that will happen till I get back from the UK

Hey DV!!! My trip to the UK got cancelled

Would a visit on the 13th work for you? Or will I be in the way and de-rail your progress?

You don't owe me anything... If your daughter can't get you up and running, I'll take a crack at it Saturday. If your plans change and Saturday is not good, just let me know.

Hopefully your not running into anymore gotchas and the final finishing is humming along.

Ya. It would be a great place to show it off. The hope was it would be ready for LCS. I even had accommodations set aside, but we are so close and the craftsmanship that DV has poured into this build. I wouldn't have him rush it to the finishline just for LCS. Like any Cubs fan will tell you... There's always next year

Thumbs up !!! Yes !!! Yes !!! Yes !!! Yes !!!

I just got a call from the Secretary of States office and I started to panic

The nice lady just had one question to clarify how to classify my car for the title. I answered one question and she said "thank you very much" and "your plates and title will be sent out tomorrow"
