Glad you found the "you now what"
Got this e-mail tonight after I ordered that thing-of-a-whatever" you needed
************************************************** ****************
Got your order but want to make sure we send Ed Combs the right tool.
Is it for 2" tubing (2" OD), or 2" pipe (2-7/8" OD)? You ordered a P-200 which
is for pipe and I noticed your e-mail address being motorsports
(most car guys use tubing)
so I'm wondering if you meant to order
a P-T200. Let me know and we'll get this shipped out tomorrow.

Is this what I need to get?

Jim,
Thanks for the kind words. I'm really glad people are getting some use out of this thread. Its been a real adventure to say the least on my side.
DV,
The correct u-joint for the rack end was ordered from JEGS today (it turned out to be 9/16" according to the guy at FR) and is being overnighted to you. A complete new tranny/speedo sensor with gear is being FedXed to you from me. Just talked to Chad and he'll have to wiring pig tail waiting for you tomorrow.
As soon as I get a tracking number for the bender, I'll email it to you.
Let me know if you need anything else.

My headers came from Don at CRII. Don't think he made them in house. Maybe DV has some history on where they are made.

Not sure, but I think the headers were made in Canada. I make my own V-10 headers but not the stock 302's,351's, or BB's.

DV,
According to FedEx tracking, you should have a couple of things today.
The correct rack u-joint from JEGS and the new speedo sensor from me. Chad should have the wiring pig tail for the sensor waiting for you today also.
Cheers!!!

Wetdog: A+, cpteddie B, DV "F-"
If any of you remember awhile back I went into a small tirade who I later found out was Wetdog and a few others about running their wiring harness, etc, down the transmission tunnel. Absolutely an unsafe practice for numerous reasons!
Well guess what? I don't know where my gray cell was at but I ran the fuel line and BOTH 1/0 cables right down the tunnel. I have NEVER done that before and have no idea why I did it this time other than it was neat, secure and pretty!
Cpt eddie asked me Sat. if the shaft wasn't a little close and for what ever reaon I told him everything was absolutely secure, which it was but I was not counting on a blown U-joint or the transmission mount torquing under all his to be power. Therefore I give cpteddie a B, he didn't insist that I move it! Then last night I get a very nice but very firm phone call from wetdog and wanted to know why I gave him so much grief for doing the same thing running everything totally wrong! Definately an A+ for Wetdog..
I get the F- for doing it in the first place. Shame on me, it wont ever happen again and no exscuse why I did it this time! It is now changed and run correctly!
Look at the photo again for those that missed it. It should be self explanatory why you do NOT run anything inside the trannny/driveshaft tunnel!
Cpteddie my sincere apology's and we are so ready for those parts!

OK,
This too is a first for me, With the steel floor pans that drop below the frame I moved all the lines to the bottom of the frame rail right next to the floor pans, thus before they can be damaged "something is going to have to tear up the floor pans first! Still nice and neat. My,my. Where does ones gray cell go at times? Normally I suggest running the cable and lines down the outside of the frame rails but with the dropped floor pans I think this will work out well.
"Wetdog", Thank you for being insistant! Forgive a dilapadated old man with stroke damage? I can always fall back on that, but it sure didn't have a thing to do with this blunder!
Like I have always said, if you don't like it, it appears to be wrong, if you have questions-suggestions-darn it don't be shy-just ask or suggest, you can only make us all better!!

DV,
I'm heading back to NJ in a couple of hours and will be back late tomorrow night. If you get a chance, can you follow up with the pipe bender guy and see if the "new" toy shipped? or is close to shipping?
I'll see you Sunday morning, around 11am your time

Et. Al., For those kind enough to be following this thread it is becoming temporarily slowed down a little. The wiring is getting done on the dash, the frame is being wired and of course we are getting all those little ducks together to give cpteddie his four point roll bar! The Austrailan side vents are being put in, which are a little different but I think will look good.
Soon. stripes, color, clear, then then the real work begins! Hope to fire this fire breather up soooooon! Pentwater and Chicago are waiting!

Ed and my other brother Ed,
I'm sure that there are a lot of us following your thread. Most are too polite to jump in the middle so you and Captain Eddie don't have any communication issues. keep on keepin on.
