Great news/update DV!!!
If you can get the roll bar finished by Saturday, I can bring it back with me to get powder coated. I'll also get the bumper tubes chromed at the same time.
Thanks for the great news!!!

Hey DV!!!
Are you waste deep in snow?
Hopefully the in-floor heating is keeping you and our baby warm in the shop. See you next Saturday with the new wider tires for the rear end. If you get the roll bar done before then, post a pic or 2
Cheers!!! and stay warm

Darn good thing you changed your mind about coming up this weekend! Lots of "Lake Effect" snow- beats me what the difference is but tjhe weather people alsways go out of there way to tell if it's Lake effect or not???
Floor is good, but could be a lot better- not the floor or the wood furnace but my neighbor, I'll explain when you get here next week.
Posting roll bar pictures as soon as I get the new hoop made and the down legs welded in. Bought more steel this morning, just didn't like the way the first one looked!

DV,
I picked up the speakers over the weekend two 6x9 with integrated tweeters from Memphis audio.
http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/
I'll bring them over on Saturday with the tires.
Cheers!

Capteddie,
You don't need no stinckin' tweeters....That's what the volume pedal and your side pipes are for.

I don't think I'll be hearing the audio anyway, but DV had a good point of at least mounting the speakers now before the final paint.
How well can you hear your car stereo while tooling done the expressway?

I am radioless. I can't say I really miss it either. I do like it in my other cars though, where I can roll up the windows. I am sure there will be times when it's useful. I couldn't resist giving you a hard time about it. Have fun.

Hey DV!!!
The more I see pictures of radiator connections that are done with a combination of rubber and solid hose lines, the more I like it.
Something like this. (wish I could find a better example)
What's your thoughts/opinions? Any new pictures of the roll bar?

OK you have me there. I know the cool flex hoses we have now are rubber and metal. I was talking more about the ridge metal pipe and rubber. I wish I could find the picture that shows a good example. See if this one gives you a better idea.

I have to admit I was having a little trouble keeping up with that discussion. I threw my $0.04 ( inflation/recession adjusted ) about the adjustable control arms, then I just stepped to the side lines and made some popcorn

OK,
New it wasn't that easy... All you need is some chrome piping and a new jig for the bender
OR, I can disconnect the flex lines and leave them moulded to the shape, send them to you and have some one there bend them up. Gotta agree, Flex is nice but the proper bent chrome tubes do look better!

OK.... Now we're on the same page. I agree the flex is easier to deal with, but like you. I like the crisp lines of properly bent solid tubing.
What size bender die would you need? 1.25"
I was thinking of stainless or aluminum and then either polishing the stainless or transparent powder coating on the aluminum
I'm sure we could sell some custom bent cooling lines along with a few roll bars here and there

Cpteddie,
I see you are quite serious...again. I should have known!
OK, top hose is 1-1/4, bottom hose is 1-3/4's. Second would be great for more roll bars if someone didn't want a full 2-incher! But that is two die sets!
If this were to come to be I would suggest making them out of the steel/aluminum tubing used on the newer cars. (Much cheaper by 5 fold than the price of DOM material!)
Then I could have them chrome powder coated with a clear coat so they would look like your candy apple-red overflow bottle only "like" chrome.
Your four point is being "Tigged", (Sorry I couldn't do it but the guy that was supposed to buy my shop absconded with my Tig.) as we speak and will be at the powder coaters by the 3rd.
I'll post complete photos when I get it back! Then if anyone wants a 4-point, 3-point I'll be ready to go. I just want to see the "Fit & Finish" before I turn them loose!
