You may want to talk to DV. He has a nice bender and he now has 1.25 and 1.5 dies. He's making rigid lines for me.... Well he will after I stop making changes to the setup

I'm right there with you on the bigger garage. I'm going to be starting a new home search soon and one major criteria is that it has a lot big enough to allow me to put a separate two bay shop behind the house.

Cheers!

Default CRII Motor Mounts

Hey Other ED,

Have your been able to find the part number for the motor mounts that you bought from Jeg's for your car. Ed C. and Jeff Nelson have both assured me that the frame mounts that I have from CR are correct...i just have to find the motor mounts that go with them. Thanks....Mike

DV, was good talking to you today!!! Hopefully this weather is going to break soon and we can get some paint sprayed.

I ordered the new puke tank. You should have it by the end of the week. It has the thermostat housing built into it, so it should work fine.

Let me know if you need me to do anything with the bender.

Cheers!

Default Ronbo, et.al.,

Although cpteddie never said a word about the possibilities of the 'air cleaner' nuts coming off the studs and being sucked intothe carb, Ronbo had me questioning my own work! As said many times and hundreds of uses of the special flange nuts, I've never had one come loose! But this is a very critical point, it is to cold in the shop to do anyting but mechanical work, AND I looked at that air cleaner every day- what the hey! I took off the special nuts used large flat washers and normal nuts..............OK, absolutely 'Cobra like' now.........

DV
PS. 9's today. Going to 52' saturday-tha's norhern Mi.! At the end of the 'path' you can see Diane shoveling out the door to the shop! (God bless that women!) She's standing on at least 18"s of packed snow and ice!

Hey DV!!! You around? or still out digging a tunnel to the shop

I think I remember during one of our chats. That you stated that after you cut out and reshaped the body area behind the seats, that there would be plenty of room for a much wider rear tire.

What size do you think would fit, without causing interference to the body or rear suspension?

Maybe.... P 315 / 60R15

Cheers!

Just want to make sure I have enough meat on the pavement

I have a narrowed 9", but if DV thinks its best. I'll drop back to 295s

Cheers!

The 315s are MTs. But it doesn't look like they make a 295/60, at least I couldn't find one at Summit. All I found was a 295/65.

Those MT"s (ET Street Radials) are sweet and sticky. I am running with 275's on the rear, 235's on the front and I really like them. They handle great in the turns, like to go straight on the fwy, no vibrations. I have never drifted with them in a turn because they hold on nice and tight and I haven't really forced the issue. The BFG's I had before would hold and then just let go. I like the MT's a lot. They look evil too.

Fella, We're breakin' records all over the west side of the State. Traverse City, North of us by a couple hundred miles is calling for 58 today! Heck we're not going to get that warm but mid 50's! But of course they are calling for more snow Thursday.

Ed, I ran MT street tires on my DV, you COULD NOT drive 50' in the rain. And I am serious. I drifted completely left of center crossing a bridge that had a built in 3-5 degree bank to it. The oncoming driver, thank my stars stopped, while I kept sliding off the wrong side of the road until I gravel and finally stopped.

Bright sunshine and no call for rain when the Mrs and I left.............
