No...

It was in Rockford, about 45 minutes west of me.

DV,

When do you think the car will head to Muskegon for carpet? Do you think we should have Bakker put down some "hush mat" or something similar? I'm still planning on taking time off from 6/26 to 7/5 and I'm planning a visit to your place somewhere around the 6/29 or 6/30, if you need me to trailer it down to Bakker.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY, by the way!!! !!!

Thanks for the greeting and you two!
Hush mat is a good idea but really is not needed, but it is nice to have. By that time it should be ready for Bakker or sooner. Started on the nose insert yesterday. Final buffing being done on the hood, hood latch is measured out and installed-or did I tell you that?
Right inner back brace is in I think you new that, the front end is now bolted down! That's the last bolts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Much much more modification was done to the puke tank, will finish its installation tomorrow. It now sits level or even maybe a degree down? Hood fits awsome and is almost buffed totally. I'll post a picture soon but I want to put the handles on first!

Got "Wiley Coyote" home, Wendy's new Cobra hauler. Looks good sitting in front of the shop!

Thanks for the updates!!!

Post a picture or two when you get a moment. If the car is ready to go to Bakkers before next Monday, don't feel like you have to wait on me to get it there. So do you think we're still on track for a delivery date around 7/4 or 5?

Can't wait to see your next project. Feel free to get a list together of any original parts you might need for Wendy's truck and I'll work on sourcing them via the internet, if you want.

Jim,
We've got a little ways to go yet-more pictures to follow.

Ed, I plan on getting it there one way or the other as soon as I can!

Parts for Wendy?
Well we can start with a radiator cap then to the back since I will be starting with that.

She's still trying to decide what motor!

Well... We're not done yet and I wouldn't be surprised if DV doesn't find a way to keep this (or another new thread) running with the upcoming build/restoration of the '45 GMC pickup he's going to be doing for his daughter.

Also, I'm sure I'm going to have more than my fair share of questions about why's this doing that or crap! I think I broke something to keep this thread alive.

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about taking my car out for its first drive!!!

Oh trust me... I'd almost prefer you strap yourself to that little rocket before I do

reason 1 > You built it

reason 2 > If something isn't right, I would think you'd sense it long before me

reason 3 > you deserve it

So what do you say... test drives Monday afternoon!!!

DV/Capteddie, Thank God. If it weren't for this thread all the rain we've been getting out here would have truly "sent me round the bend". What I've learned off this thread has been amazing. There are a lot of people out here who always are looking for the next chapter. More pics please.

Hey DV...

Tom Wood is looking for the part # for the truck seal we got from Soft Seal. I checked my e-mails and PMs and can't find it. I'll check my folder of paperwork when I get home tonight. If I remember right, you gave a a shopping list with 3 things from Soft Seal during one of my shop visits.

no worries.....

I have hard copies of everything I've bought. Just thought I would have something in electronic form from Soft Seal.

I'll hook you up with a software upgrade or two next week, so you can make your database. I think it would really help alot of people out if we could capture the bits and pieces of this build.

Sweet DV!!! !!!

Looks great with the hood on! See you Monday afternoon ( ish ). If you can, let me know if we need to make the run down to Bakkers before then. I'm prepared to stay in MI till Friday the 3rd, if need be to get things hauled around.

Any new news from Wendy on her choice in motors? I'm a Ford guy, but might be able to help out on a "cough cough" GM/Chevy" motor for the project....
