Default Cr Top Install..

Just getting around to installing the soft top but I seem to be missing something.....??? The channel fits down on the windshield but what holds it in place? Anyone have a picture of what it should look like? Thanks, charlie

Charlie,
Is your top channel (to the top) moulded to fit the windshield and is black in color?

OK,
Right where the top bow splits, look inside the channel on both sides. You will see a flat headed pin on both right and left sides where it splits. These pins, called left and right will slide into the very top middle of the windshield frame. Slide one in and pull it out ward a couple of inches, this will allow you to then put the other pin in place. Now pull the top even and hook up the side latches, Make sure you get them tight when buckeled!
Hope this helps..

DV, Your instructions were great. Just needed to refresh my brain cells on how this thing went together. It did of course go together without additional parts. charlie

Default Need a picture of the how and where the latches go

So,

I found a soft top for my CR. Does anyone have a picture of how to mount the latches on the windshield? I read DV post from 2008 and got the black formed channels to go in the windshield groove. I have the two latches that came with the top and little hooks that have two small mounting holes. Without the instructions however, I'm a bit stuck. Appreciate any help...so close.

Thanks.

Default Classic Radster Soft Top Search

Hey guys, I just purchased a Clsc Roadster C-427 and I'd like to install a soft top. I hear that the car is wider and longer than other and they won't fit. Whose top did you guy go with ??
Regards,

Moooch

Mooch,
CR's used or made their own tops. No other (known) manufacturer will work- sorry.
