Default hood latches

Has anyone that has used the original type hood latches have the measurements as to the location of the holes? Also, did you use cams or latch type devices, and how did they attach?

Thanks

Jagrolet

Jag im right there now , i will have it figured out soon . Iam going with cam latches , maybe DV has some numbers. It looks like you will have to go in the center of the square brace in the bottom of the hood and centered on the corner gusset of the body.WD

I have no clue what the measurements need to be. But DV is at that stage with my car. He had me order cams for mine.

Here's the link for the cams http://www.finishlineaccessories.com...roducts_id=161

WD,
I guess that you decided not to pin your hood?

Default to pin or not to pin ?

Terry I keep changing my mind mostly because I am not crazy about the rad mount hood support when body goes on I will decide , I may cut the rad support all up and make my own. WD

WD,
I am finding that my hood moves around a lot. If I was to re-do mine I would change the hood so that it hinged off of the body. My concern its that there is so much independant movement, the fiberglass is going to crash or crack somewhere.
That could be because I still need to take it down and have the wheels aligned. But I still do not even like the idea of the movement.

Terry
