Front Shocks Problem...

Hi Guys,

I've got an 1991 CR.

I wanted to change my front shock. I disassembled my front shok, for replace them by some Mustang II front shock. But they're too short.

So, I compared the new ones with the shocks of origin, (MONROE), and the MONROE are longer.

Could you please tell me what kind of shocks can I put, and where can I find them ???? Because mine are really dead.

Thanks a lot

Bye

Panzer,
I think the shocks called for in the manual back then were for some type of full sized car or station wagon if I remember correctly. I'm using some for a corvette. They were the right length and seemed like a good fit to me. Sorry, I don't still have the part number though.
Good luck,
Greg

Panzer,
According to my manual the front shocks are Napa Auto Stores P/N 94156 for the front and P/N 20722 for the rear. I din't know if you have Napa stores there but maybe Monroe could cross referance the part numbers for you.

Hope this helps, Terry

I have 1996 CR according to manual front shocks are Monroe #2067 or gas #5815. Rear schocks are VW #113-413-031b.

Thanks
Robert
