CR Tach "Floating"??

I took it for a spin today and noticed the tach was about 300 RPM's high at idle and floating a little......actually it is 300 or more high at all speeds???

Anyone have any idea why this just started??

check the ground?

Thank for the reply Curt....already checked and all looks OK at the engine.....the gauge is another adventure as the dash has to be pulled out!!!

I started it today and all was well??

I live near the Marine Corps Air Station here and they have some powerful radar equipment....might have been the cause but if so it is frying us too!!!

I'll try to drive it some tomorrow and report back.

Update.....

I removed the Speedo and Tach to send back to Classic Instruments to get new dials and lenses!! I found the signal wire loose on the Tach...probably why it was acting strange....Fred at CI confirmed the Tach is OK and I should have both back on the 26Th!!
