Ed,

Thanks for the reply!!

ALL of my instruments say "Classic Instruments" at the bottom of the face plates?? Does that help??

I will also take a new speedometer if you have one as this one is very fogged up inside!!

Coosawjack,

Classic Gauges are their own company. If you do a google search you will find them with a phone number. As far as the speedo' fogging up.....turn on your parking lights! Only the most exspensive and fine gaugees are totally air/water tight. The fogging is quite normal due to humidity or moisture present. Turning the parking lights on for a while will heat up the inside of the gauge and dry out the moisture thusly fixing your fogging problem. Unless of course you have a tremendous amount of water getting into youir gauges!

PS. Erratic tach- almost always ends up being a ground or the feed wire is getting crossed/stray electrical interference from speakers, hi-volume amperage bleeding across, etc. Do you have a radio? IF so can you hear a high pitched whine co-ordinating with your RPM through the speakers? Windshield wiper motors close to the tach wire can really raise havoc.

Default Once Again.....Saved By DV!!!

Ed,

I called Classic Instruments and spoke with Fred who told me I could send both my tach and speedo in for re-face (both dials have yellowed numbers and foggy lenses) and upgrade if necessary!! They remove the bezel, re-face, calibrate and install new lenses for $35.00 each....WHAT a deal!!

BTW, I think my bouncy tach needle was a loose signal wire.....if not they will install a new movement for $30.00!!!

Great company!!

Thanks again DV....Merry Christmas!!
