Talking Looking forward to 2K9

Happy New Years !!!!!!

I'll be at DV shop on Saturday seeing what is left to get this build done. Its been a great adventure during 2008 working to get this car on the road. With the unfortunate problems with CRII and their legal issues, at times I really felt like the build was not going to ever happen. Then I was SO fortunate to cross paths with Ed "DV" Combs and after some convincing (and some crying ), he agreed to help me get this car done. As of today, "our" cobra is very close to being finished. Thanks to my chance meeting with DV. We will truly end up with not only one sweet ride, but it will have many original touches that DV has incorporated to truly make this car "one of a kind"

I look forward to introducing you all to the next DVIII (well less the V10) in 2009 and I can't wait to start taking this great car to shows and events in the new year. I hope some of you have benefited from the build thread on our car and maybe saved you from some of my "newbee" mistakes and also have benefited from the great wealth of knowledge and know-how DV has shared with all of us.

I wish all of you Best Wishes and Good Will in the coming year!!!!

Ed

PS> Oh ya... if anybody needs any form of roll bar or custom tube bending... Please contact DV, we still have a pipe bender to pay for

Ed, We have been with you most of the way and I am sure I speak for everyone folowing your build thread that we feel this car is ours too. Don't be suprized if a dozen or so people show up to take it for it's first drive. Seriously you guys have been an inspiration and I agree with you, meeting DV was a good move. The chatter has been fun and will be missed once your finished. Keep the pictures and stories coming. Happy trails!!

John

Thanks John!!!

I have high hopes, as a lot of other people do. That CR will rise from the ashes again. If so, I hope this little chunk of the CC web site will stay busy, educational and fun. I'm really glad that others have found use from DV and I going back and forth building this car.

Cheers!!!

Capteddie,

John said it best with the thought that we all have been following your build and we have a (vested?) interest in your and DV's success. You and DV have kept the CRII light burning. There is a lot of us out here who want to see CRII restart. I hope you will be able to hang out until that terrible Chicago weather disapates and you have a great driving season to enjoy the car.

Jim

Jim,

Thanks! and I do know a lot of people have followed the build thread (its sitting close to 31K views). Keep the faith everybody. One way or another the CR's will continue on. I really hope I get to meet some of you at the various cobra meets. I'm already booked for the London bash and I'll more than likely be at the next run & gun.

Thanks again for the support and the continued interest in the the "Ed and DV" adventure.

Heading to DVs shop on Saturday, so there will be new pictures to follow
