Default I'll take one

Sorry for the delay. I have been working on getting quotes to finish the work on my cobra and haven't been checking the forum. I will take 1 drivers side rollbar prepped for chroming.

I will put a check for $325 in the mail tomorrow (1-22).

"B",
I hate exscuses, especially in this business, but twice this week I have had to offer an apology. I had one small and final bend to the down leg on your bar , A tweak really,( didn't bend it far enough the first time),, and I blew out a small "O" ring on the bender. Capteddie has made the arrangements to get it fixed over a week ago. I sent the pump back and awaiting for its return. If I get it early enough I should be able to add 2's to the bend and get it in the mail that day. Sorry, but it is on it's way....almost!

Anything you need me to do with regards to the pump? Do I need to make a call? Just let me know.

cpteddie,
We're good, just waiting for the return. So aggravating..... I look at the down leg already bent (not far enough) and I think if only I could put out ten tons of force I could just grab both ends and bend it the two more degrees and it would fit right in!

'B',
Just showing my stupidity at times: Quote from cpteddies post

BENDER: What a screw up! I mailed it and was getting a little cranked because it hadn't shown up yet! Finally it came back Sat.---just like I sent it!
Seems the box,( A cut down " AUTOZONE OIL QT. SHIPPING BOX) didn't quite meet muster for the P.O., seeing that the box said in numerous places "12 qts. 30 wt. oil! They sent it back even though the box had ben cut down to fit the pump! I taped up all offending EPA shipping info and RE-SHIPPED IT IMMEDITELY.

Not holding up your job but it sure isn't helping ('B') get his roll bar!
DV

Dammm stupid 'S' happens-sorry.

Default Your expertise and connections are requested.

Hello again.

I am looking for parts, and need help with:

The hidden latch assembly with cable for a CR Roadster

A phone number to contact (to give to my friend who is helping me) for parts and any other advice needed.

(I had pulled the Chevy engine to put in a 361/C6 combo so it would sell fasted when I was finished, but before my friend got around to building the 351, he determined that 351 headers were no longer available. The Chevy is back in and of course, I now know where a set of 351 headers are... oh well)

This build has been on for about 4 years now. Any help is appreciated now that I am down to the "little things" ie:
Power steering
Narrow rear end 3/4 and 3/8"
Install heater
Install radio
Install Auto dimming-compass/Temp/Home link rear view mirror
Get final inspection from State..
Drive home
Sell....

Thanks for anything!!!

Default Rollbar seals?

Hey DV,
I have a full width rollbar from CR. The rear legs dictate a very elongated ring because of the angle. I'm making my own since I can't find any to work. Is that my only course of action?
Thanks.

"G"

Here's what DV made for me. The back supports go in close to a 90

I'll be at DVs on Saturday if you want some additional photos.

Cheers!

Finishline has elongated grommets and finish rings for the rear, I believe they are for a 2" bar.

Capteddie,DV,
I wish I had the DV rollbar. Sure would have made things easier and more structural. Unfortunately I have the CR bar and the back legs are at too much angle to use the Finishline rear grommets.(Which I already have) Guess I'll start cutting aluminum and rubber. WE SHALL OVERCOME!
Thanks.

G,

I have the full-width Classic roll bar as well -- the Finishline rings/grommets fit very nicely.

Do you have ETA for the rollbar? I am at a point where it is a kind of holding up the build.

There was a problem with the hydraulic pump on the bender and the company it was sent to for repairs sort of misplaced it. Good news is... The pump has been found and should be back in DVs hands in the next couple of days. I'll call tomorrow and make sure it is a priority repair and gets shipped back ASAP.

Hang in there....

I just spoke with the guys in warranty repair at SPX Fluid Power and the bender pump should be fixed by tomorrow. Then they'll ship it back to DV.

DV....
As soon as they give me a tracking number, I'll forward it on to you.

Default Rollbar?

It's been a couple weeks. Do you have the bender? It has been 3 months since I ordered the rollbar.

I have found another source for a rollbar. I would love to get the one from DV, but if you can't have it soon can I refund? I hate to nag, but the shop working on my car is asking about it a couple times a week.
