All I know is that I had to put my adjustables back into the upper holes to get the angle that DV said that is needed. It is now at about -3 deg to the horizontal plane of the transmission. I could not get it to -3 1/2 deg because I woud have had to machine it to be able to crank it down more.

Terry,
That should work absolutely fine! IF it doesn't let me know, (I know you will ) , and I'll head out of town on the first rail!

I took the Cobra down today and had the front end aligned with the new upper a-arm brackets and adjustable lower strut rods on the lower a-arms.
The rear pinion is set at -3 deg. Took it out for a drive. NO VIBRATION!!!!!.
Thanks DV for putting up with all of the questions on this.

Great to hear Terry. Were you having vibration problems? I had my car out yesterday and last night with the new upper control arm setting and really didn.t notice any change. Which is ok because I didn't notice a problem before either.
Last night cruising down the freeway on my way home around 9:30, I'm in the fast lane and this red Farrari with it's top off pulls up next to me, I just see wild long blonde hair blowing all around and see that it's two women. Cooool! We just smiled and waved to each other. Not much else to the story...really.

Hay John,
I had a vibration on acceleration mostly and a little driving normally. It is all gone now.

I'll have to get a reading on my setting. Sometimes I wonder if I should just leave well enough alone. It seems that I am rebuilding this car one peice at a time. One project at a time. I have learned so much with this car, I am greatful. But I have soooo much more to learn. We'll see what the next project(s) brings.

Upper Control Arms
Sorry, I did not see this earlier. I haven't been on the site for some time. Too busy getting things preped for paint and upholstery. However John, you got way better scoop than I could have given you thanks to all on this site.
What I found most interesting after I dialed in the pinion angle was the incredible sticking power of the rear tires when I launch. I used to lose traction every time I got on it in first gear. I can now jump off the line and keep the tires on the ground. Heck of a rush

What to use
Need help on what upper control arms to use. I'm trying to source parts for my kit (Don half delivered then bankruptcy you know the story) There is a local fellow parting out a 91 mustang & he has a set of hotchkis upper control arms.
(Non adj) Would they work & if not what year should I look for or just go the adj route.
Thanks Matt

onetrackrider,
Are you just looking for aftermarket parts?
Would you be interestred in stock CR upper trailing arms? I just replaced mine with Hotchkis double adjustable's and I have the stock set left over.
I also have the stock strut rods for the lower a-arms if needed.

Matt, et.al.,
Finally got my ISP to work for a minute.......?
The upper control arms should be 9-1/2"s O.C. +/-. Thats-front bolt to front bolt-installed.
For after market NON-Adjustable arms these may end up slightly off. I think (?) the bushings diameters are the same. If not. read cpteddies forum on the nightmare about the bushings!
DV
PS-Hopefully by Saturday cpteddie will have fixed my woes
