Default CR gas tank / Aluminum???

So, . . . my CR gas tank obviously has no baffels in it to prevent fuel sloshin, because for the ladt 10 years the gas gauge needle bounces all over the place. It works, just bounces.

If I was to get a custom aluminum one made (with friken baffels) how much would it cost and how much weight would I save ?????? Anyone know ???

Thanks in advance.

Ed

Ed,
Another 2-cents! Lack of baffles really isn't effecting your gauge that much, nor will baffles help that much. Everty custom tank I had made was close to a grand, but it had baffles in it-for racing. Weight wise, you will probably gain a pound or two.
My thoughts one of the newer sending units would be a better investment. ?

I have the VDO gauges and tank was from CR ('99) no bounce on mine.
Maybe yours is a gauge/sender/electrical issue?

I had Fuel Safe build me one about 6 years ago. It cost about $1,300 back then and their prices have since gone way, way up. I actually increased the size of the cell (there is plenty of room) and got it to 22 gallons with foam. See my gallery
